At Irino Machinery, selected castings from internal grinding machines manufactured by the former Yamada Koki—including the bed, base, wheelhead base, and certain machine body components—are utilized as “Legacy Castings.”
Legacy Castings are inspected according to strict quality standards, then cleaned and carefully selected. From that point forward, they undergo the same manufacturing processes as newly cast components, including grinding, scraping, assembly, and painting, and are built to current specifications.
By carrying forward the internal grinding machine technology and castings inherited from the former Yamada Koki, and combining them with Irino Machinery’s current manufacturing technology and rigorous quality control, we build new machines to the latest specifications.

Certificate Issuance
Machines newly manufactured using Legacy Castings are eligible for the same certificates issued by the Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) as new machines built with newly cast components.
These certificates can be used for applicable tax incentives and other programs. The IIG-20H is also registered as eligible equipment under an energy-efficiency subsidy program administered by the Sustainable open Innovation Initiative (SII).
